Fourth Crane & Rigging Conference Canada Just One Month Away

Critical lifting, rigging and standards emerge as key topics at CRC Canada 2014.

crc canada 500x300This year’s Crane & Rigging Conference (CRC) Canada is now just over one month away with attendees signing up to participate in two days of presentations and networking on Oct. 20-21 at the Marriott at River Cree Resort, Edmonton, Alberta.

The Canadian Hoisting & Rigging Safety Council will again bookend the event with a keynote presentation on the first day before the popular panel discussion closes the conference with a Q&A session.

The two-day event will address crane and rigging supervisors working in a wide variety of industries, facilities managers, and safety personnel. Overhead and construction cranes, critical lifting, rigging, standards, competency, and training will be among key topics.

Fraser Cocks, executive director, BC Association for Crane Safety and chairman of the Canadian Hoisting & Rigging Council will open the event before Stefan Walter, sales manager (Canada & Australia), Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH offers an insight into Liebherr’s Lift Planning System. Later, Fred Wolsey, system engineer, cranes and hoists at Bruce Power, will speak about the use of knots in fiber rope.
